We were excited to host a special event recognizing some of aviation’s most notable figures with Dorothy Cochrane of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
For this year’s program we looked at Bob Hoover and his impact on the aviation community. A legend of the greatest generation, Robert A. “Bob” Hoover is considered a pilot’s pilot by many of his peers and one of the most beloved figures in aviation history.
Flying The Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project, the first film directed by Kim Furst, was proud to participate in this educational event to celebrate National Aviation Day. In addition to presentations by Kim Furst and Dorothy Cochrane, Hoover sent a special tribute video message to the crowd the night of screening. Attendees included veterans, local Boy Scount and Girl Scout troops as well as congressional representatives.
